Welcome to Heal & Sole, a luxury candle company founded by Rachel Matthews in 2021. Rachel’s journey began during the pandemic when the pressures of sustaining her shoe design business, a career she’s loved for nearly 25 years, led her to search for a way to relax and reconnect with herself. Rediscovering her teenage passion for candle making, Rachel found solace in the art of blending fragrances and pouring soy wax, which soon blossomed into a thriving business with the fitting motto, 'take a moment'.

The name Heal & Sole holds a unique dual meaning. As a shoe designer, Rachel nods to her roots with 'heel' and 'sole' referencing the essential parts of a shoe. More profoundly, 'heal' symbolises restoration and self-care during challenging times, while 'sole' signifies grounding and staying connected to the earth. Through her handcrafted soy wax candles, wax melts and accessories, Rachel hopes to inspire others to pause, find peace, and heal—one moment at a time.
